The Executive Council of ISESCO, during its 29th annual session held in Rabat (Morocco) from July 2 to 5, 2008, appointed Mr. Jean-Paul Carteron Ambassador of ISESCO for the Dialogue between Cultures and Civilizations.

Granting this distinction to Mr. Jean-Paul Carteron, Founder of the Crans Montana Forum, the ISESCO meant to reward his efforts and activities for the promotion of the Dialogue between Civilizations in the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean.

For the third year, the Crans Montana Forum organised from June 26 to 29, the symposium on the Dialogue of Civilizations under the Chairmanship of Mr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of ISESCO and Mr. Federico Mayor, Co Chairman of the UN High Level Group for the Alliance of Civilizations and former Director General of UNESCO.

Special Meeting of the General Prosecutors

The Crans Montana Forum is a Swiss International Organization created in Crans Montana (Switzerland) in 1986 with the support and the involvement of Swiss Authorities whose importance and prestige are well-established. It is formally recognised notably for its purpose to contribute to the construction of a more Humane World: “Committed to a more Humane World”.

 

The Crans Montana Forum works for the promotion of international cooperation and contributes to global growth while ensuring a high level of stability, equity and security. The aim is also to foster the best practices and ensure a global dialogue.

 

The first Crans Montana Forum was dedicated to the political and economic reconstruction of the post Cold War Europe. Since this first event, the Forum has continued to contribute and create meeting opportunities for its participants.

 

The yearly June Forum is now a world-renowned and unavoidable event which is on the agenda of every decision-maker caring for his responsibilities and the exceptional opportunities he can find there. Each of our Forums represents a unique occasion for Business Leaders and high level Officials to implement their strategies, strengthen relationships with their partners and develop new cooperation opportunities.

On February 24th, 2006, the Crans Montana Forum and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization exchanged letters thus formalising a historic institutional link between the two Organizations. The objective is to broaden the horizons of French companies with the creation of new inter-company partnerships in developing and transition countries.
