The Executive Council of ISESCO, during its 29th annual session held in Rabat (Morocco) from July 2 to 5, 2008, appointed Mr. Jean-Paul Carteron Ambassador of ISESCO for the Dialogue between Cultures and Civilizations.

Granting this distinction to Mr. Jean-Paul Carteron, Founder of the Crans Montana Forum, the ISESCO meant to reward his efforts and activities for the promotion of the Dialogue between Civilizations in the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean.

For the third year, the Crans Montana Forum organised from June 26 to 29, the symposium on the Dialogue of Civilizations under the Chairmanship of Mr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of ISESCO and Mr. Federico Mayor, Co Chairman of the UN High Level Group for the Alliance of Civilizations and former Director General of UNESCO.

The Annual Crans Montana Forum takes place every year in June and gathers from 700 to 800 participants representing 100 to 120 countries and International Organisations.

 

The Crans Montana Forum is organised on the basis of plenary sessions and parallel sessions. Numerous functions and activities are organised for Heads of State and Governments, Ministers and decision makers from International Organisations and Business sector.

 

The next and 21th session of the Annual Crans Montana Forum will take place in Brussels (Belgium) from June 23 to 26, 2010.

Mr. Jean-Paul Carteron, Chairman & Founder of the Crans Montana Forum welcomes HRH Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain (2nd Session of the Middle East – Homeland & Global Security Forum in Bahrain, November 2007)

HGSFThe Middle East – Homeland & Global Security Forum was held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain from November 19 to 21 under the High Patronage of H.R.H. Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Chair of H.E. Shaikh Rashid Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

This major event gathered more than 700 participants, from more than 100 countries from all continents, including Ministers, Security Experts, Consultants, Executives from major international Companies (e.g. G4 Security Services, Securitas, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Thales, Alstom, Boeing, Lufthansa, Gulf Air, DHL, Shell, Bapco, Total, Kuwait Finance House, etc.) and Academics.

The Annual International Summits on Transnational Crime

The International Summit on Transnational Crime was organised for the first time in 1999 in close cooperation with the Council of Europe and the United Nations. The first session was hosted by the UN and took place in the Hall of the General Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland. It now takes place in Paris (France) at the National Assembly Headquarters.

 

This Summit gathers every year around 400 participants from the public and business sectors in the fields of Justice, Interior Affairs, Security, Finance, and Organisations specialised in the fight against terrorism and organised crime, prevention and prosecution of money laundering and counterfeiting, and other forms of criminality.

 

This Summit deals with concerns that are essential today for the credibility of any company doing business across national borders. Transnational crime is a defining issue of the 21st century for political and business decision makers.

 

The next and 11th International Summit on Transnational Crime will take place in Paris in November 2009.

The focus of Regional Summits is on the current global issues influencing the featured country and its future as well as on more specific regional issues. These Forums are major opportunities for major international groups such as Magyar Telekom (Deutsche Telecom), EVN, Visa, Mediterranea Delle Acqua Iride Group, Coca-Cola, Wolf Theiss, Vodafone, etc.

Crans Montana Forum - Middle East

Crans Montana Forum - Middle EastThe Crans Montana Forum has established the Crans Montana Forum - Middle East to consolidate and develop its activities in the Gulf Cooperation Council’s area.

 

Active in the whole GCC Region, the Crans Montana Forum - Middle East aims at improving international cooperation and business between the GCC Region and countries from Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America. It will represent foreign Companies from Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America in the GCC Region and assist Governments in the development of their Foreign Investment policies in the GCC Region.
