AFRICA, GLOBAL SECURITY AND MULTILATERALISM, key session of the forthcoming Homeland & Global Security Forum in Brussels, in October 2016

July 29, 2016

On the occasion of the forthcoming Homeland & Global Security Forum to take place in Brussels in October 2016, the Crans Montana Forum organises a major debate dedicated to Security in Africa and the necessary refounding of African multilateralism.

While Western societies are being destabilised and the security challenges threatening our World and Africa especially, are becoming more frequent - expansion of Terrorism & risks of disintegration, Ethnic conflicts, Organised crime and Illicit trafficking - regional and world integration of African States becomes crucial.

African multilateralism must be rebuilt on sound basis, able to generate efficiency for action and intervention but also credibility and respect from the international community notably in the fields of Security, Peacekeeping, Conflict prevention and Economic development.
