In the framework of the 28th Annual Session of the Crans Montana Forum, to take place in Barcelona (Spain), an International Conference on the New Silk Road is scheduled on July 5 & 6, 2017.
It will gather, numerous high level dignitaries :

  • Ministers of Economy, Finance, Industry, Trade & Transport
  • Key stakeholders of this major development project
  • Business decision makers

mainly from the (1) Silk Road Countries, the (2) Mediterranean, (3) Africa and the (4) Middle East in order to identify and deepen, in the framework of non-official and informal discussions, all the ways of a possible cooperation to be implemented besides and downstream of the main axis of the Silk Road.

The Silk Road is a new and unique Cooperation Process implemented from China to the EU with huge potential developments especially in the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East.

New Initiatives, such as the One Belt One Road (OBOR) launched in 2013 by China, has been implemented to support Global Trade Security, preserve Peace and Prosperity and interconnect the 65 Silk Road countries with the rest of the World.

The New Silk Road projects will be at the top of the agenda of the Crans Montana Forum. Indeed, this Initiative represents a unique opportunity to foster Global Cooperation, develop Business Opportunities and strengthen International networks for the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East.
