Before being elected as President of the State of Israel, Shimon Peres has been, for many years, joining regularly the Crans Montana Forums around the World !

His friendship with Amb. Jean-Paul Carteron started before 1994 when an extraordinary session of the Forum in Bucharest co-organized with President Ion Iliescu put together the Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and the President of Palestine Yasser Arafat.

Nice-Matin just published again this picture taken in Monaco on the occasion of a Crans Montana Forum on Europe and the Mediterranean at Hotel Monte-Carlo Bay. In Shimon Peres hands, the newspaper announcing " a Nobel Prize in Monaco".

Indeed it was an event !
