By decision of the Club of Ports’ Strategic Committee, Honiara Port (Solomon Islands) was awarded with the Club of Ports' Label for Excellence :
MOST DYNAMIC PORT IN THE PACIFIC AREA
The Label was presented to H.E Mr. Samuel Manetoali, Minister of Tourism and Culture of Solomon Islands, on the occasion of an Official Ceremony in the framework of the latest Homeland & Global Security Forum,that took place in Geneva (Switzerland).

With ambitious development of infrastructure projects, notably a major wharf extension financed with the support of Japan, Honiara Port is about to become one of the most important and strategic merchant shipping ports in the region.
