Public Health Security at the agenda of the Crans Montana Forum in Dakhla

In the framework of the Crans Montana Forum on Africa and South-South Cooperation, a Special Session dedicated to Public Health Security is being held in Dakhla.
Co-Chaired by Mr. Anas Doukkali, Minister of Health of Morocco, Mrs. Marisol Touraine, Former French Minister of Social Affairs & Health and Mr. Philippe Siou, Permanent Representative of Vanuatu to the World Health Organization, this Session focuses on topics such as the high rate of maternal and newborn mortality, the increasing rates of non-communicable diseases and life-threatening communicable diseases and Health policies for vulnerable people.
These major challenges for the African Continent’s development require the implementation of appropriate health policies to fight against communicable diseases and strengthen populations’ access to affordable quality services.

The panel of Experts included Mr. Abderrahman El Maaroufi, Director of the Epidemiology and Disease prevention of Morocco, Mrs. Naïma Elmdaghri, Director of the Pasteur Institute of Morocco, and Mr. Eloi Hermann Monkam, Founder of That Health Again (Cameroon).
