On
the occasion of the Official Dinner of its thirtieth anniversary, held in
Geneva on June 27 in cooperation with the Cercle des Ambassadeurs à Paris, and
for the first time, the Crans Montana Forum appointed, among the
many personalities who have made its reputation and respectability, two
Goodwill Ambassadors:
- Mr. Philippe Douste-Blazy, former Minister of Health, of Culture and then of Foreign Affairs, now Under Secretary-General of the United Nations in charge of innovative financing for development
- Mr. Teddy Riner, judoka ten-time World champion, Olympic champion and five-time European champion, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador
Goodwill
Ambassadors are personalities who are committed to using their national and
international reputation to promote the ideals of the Crans Montana Forum.
Appointed
by the Organization, Goodwill Ambassadors apply their talent and charisma to
raise global awareness about the values that have represented the very
dedication of the Crans Montana Forum since 1989, including the drive to
achieve an ever-increasing respect for the fundamental values of democracy,
freedom, human dignity and the burning desire to create a better and more humane world.
The
actions of Goodwill Ambassadors enhance the visibility, credibility and
effectiveness of the actions and mission of the Crans Montana Forum. They carry
a humanistic mission and, in this sense, a permanent responsibility.
